Celebrating Brooklyn with PNW Icons: Sleater-Kinney
Pacific Northwest band Sleater-Kinney opened up for Liz Phair’s The Flannel and The Fury Tour on September 19th, 2026, at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. The show was the closing night of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! The summer concert series, annually put on by BRIC, follows the theme of radical joy, and in 47 years, 2026 was BRIC’s most female-forward lineup, promoting New York City’s cultural life and the depth of talent across genders and genres. Through Indie/Alt Mag, she expresses her unconditional love for live music and photography while learning and growing as she goes.
